PhD in Philosophy
The PhD programme in Philosophy at USI (PhDPhil), hosted by the Institute of Philosophy at USI-FTL from the academic year 2022-2023, accepts PhD students working on any of its four core areas, viz. metaphysics, philosophy of mind, logic, philosophy of physics. Potential PhD supervisors include internal and guest professors of the Institute. The PhDPhil does not include any mandatory coursework.
There are no call for applications or yearly deadlines for intake in the PhDPhil. As a rule, students are selected through specific call for applications related to departmental assistantships, SNSF research projects, or other external funds.
