Besides research and teaching, the Institute also fosters the public understanding of Philosophy mainly through the organization of public lectures, public events, and courses open to the general public. During the last few years, such events have been devoted to topics such as the philosophy of time, artificial intelligence, emotions, the nature of the self, literature, free will, quantum mechanics, relativity theory, and cosmology.
